Robert, These tractors have a screen filter in the carb. The screen is accessed by carefully removing the fuel line at the brass fitting on the carb. The nut on the fuel line will round off if you do not have a tube wrench. If you do not have a tube wrench snug a pair of visegrips to the nut and loosen and then switch to an open end wrench. Once this line is loose, turn the shutoff valve on and verify that you are getting a full stream of gas. If no stream, remove the shutoff valve from the bottom of the fuel tank and unclog there. If the fuel is coming full stream from the tank then remove the brass fitting from the carb. Extreme care is required to avoid distorting the opening where the fuel line was mounted in the brass fitting. The wall on the fitting will distort if you do not use something like an adjustable wrench with thick jaws. Put a little teflon tape on the male threads on the brass fitting. The fuel line is flared and will not require thread sealant.
