Hey guys, I just wanted to apologize to all of ya'll that are regulars on this board for stringing this jerk along. I've never been the kind to back down from a confrontation nor let anyone else fight my battles for me and honestly I never intend to be that way. Like I said, when he insulted me I retorted, and made a few comments of my own. Though I made a few suggestions as to his character I kept it as nice (although mildly insulting) as possible but never did any name calling, and that was pretty much it. Then he came back with comments about my wife's Dad that were in VERY poor taste and totally uncalled for. I wasn't gonna stand by and say nothing on here anymore than I would if he and I had been face to face. Plus to be totally honest, I really just enjoyed stringing him along to see what he could come up with next. Even as much as I've got going on right now a battle of of wits is always a good stress reliever for me,it keeps me laughing, and like I said I can use a good laugh every day. Considering the comments he's made lately though I can see I'm battling an unarmed opponent so, again I apologize for bringing all of ya'll into the middle of it. As I said, I promise ya'll I'm gonna ignore him from now on.

For the record, another reason I wasn't inclined to back down, was that I ran into a similar situation with a guy like this several years back. He was making verbal threats, crude and lude comments, making up XXX rated web sites using doctored photos, etc to a good, female friend of mine. It got to the point he really had her scared. All I heard back then was to just let it go, to let "them" take care of it. Problem was it keep on and on for several months and "they" never did anything. It finally took me taking action and tracking the guy down to get it stopped. Turned out he was a 20 something punk living in the parents back room and I guess he had nothing better to do with his life. Sorta the same impression I get from this guy. In that case parts of what he had done were criminal, he wasn't just being a smart a$$ like this guy. Needless to say it all came to a screeching halt, in a hurry, when I called and talked to his parents one night. Seems he had no desire to go to jail and his parents had no desire to see him arrested either.

To me that's alot of what's wrong with this country nowdays, way too many people are afraid to stand up for themselves, preferring to let someone else/"them" take care of it. Since "they" rarely ever do anything guys like this get it in their head that they can run about unchecked and never suffer any kind of consequenses for their actions. Then, God forbid they have any, they pass this trait/mindset on to their kids and it starts all over again. If you ask me it has to stop somewhere and it's not with "them"...

Like I said before I'm sorry it got brought to the board. I say this because although I do feel I did my part to set him straight I also did it just to have fun with the guy, and I should have taken it off the board when it started getting fun instead of dragging it out here. That was wrong of me, I know, but heck it was fun... That said I'm sure there are more of ya'll out there that are even more computer literate that I am that could find this guy too if the need or want to was there. Fortunately he's just not worth any more of my time or anyone elses for that matter until he crosses the criminal line. At that point there will be no holds barred even if it meant me never coming back to this board again. I'll give this guy credit though and say I think he's way too smart for that but in the end you never know. They all start somewhere.

I know some of ya'll knew my address long ago but since this guy was nice enough to post it for me now everyone knows my adress so I'm extending an open invitation. If any of ya'll get in the Concord area give me a shout and stop in. I've met some of the guys on here and would love to meet all of ya'll if it were possible. I think of every one on here as sort of an extended family. We talk about this and that, and even have our disagreements, but at the end of the day we're all still here helping each other out.

Sorry again for the grief I caused. I'm out of here for the night. Hope all of ya'll have a great weekend.

Today's Featured Article - The Day Mom Drove the 8N - by Brian Browning. My Dad was wanting to put in a garden but couldn't operate the 8N and handle the old horse drawn plow he had found and rigged up to use with the tractor. Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
