I have and have had several black hawks and loved them. I went and bought a Super red hawk and it's not as accurate as the single action gun.
You will get all kinds of theorys on what is the best deer gun.
I hunt farm land in Michigan so we get some good long shots as well as in close. I have hunted with a 308 , 270 , 30-06 , 300 win mag, and my fav Remington 7mm mag.
People "wine" that it's to much gun ! Well there a bunch of women. Load according to the game and it's perfect.
Deer , elk , pig the perfect all around gun, i even hunted in the Mountains of Virgina . Down there i had some real long shooting and it is a wonderful fire arm. I took it over to Mag-na port to have a muzzel brake installed , does't kick at all now.
I have a bad shoulder so low impact is important.
I still have all the other guns , but don't use them for hunting anymore.
