Am currently in the process of building my own. Cost is about $75 in materials for each. I'll finish the JD400 Backhoe ROPS this weekend (flu willing).. Then have a MF 165 and 245 to do. At any rate, here's what I'm using for the MF.. Verticals - 2 x 4 Rectangular Tubing with .250 wall. Mounting plates - 1/2" bolted to top of axle, sandwiched underneath fender mounts using existing bolts. Top Cross Piece - 2x4 Tubing as above Extention - toward the front over operator's head 2 X 2 X .180 wall tubing. Will be tall enough to stand up on the floorboards and run the tractor standing up. Could even make a roof to keep the weather off (a bit) I have 'high' doorways so I hadn't thought about the fold-down feature (yet) But I have some heavy 132 "Mill" chain that would form dandy hinges for same. Perhaps I'll ponder that.... If I can borrow my buddy's digital camera, I'll take some pictures of the projects and post same. bbott
