I still like a 8V92. They sound pretty and if they're set right you don't have to shift many gears. We retro-ed one into a 68 Kenworth.I don't know how he set the timing and injectors. That thing would push a 450 Cat out of the way with me grossing out about 110,000 and run a hundred easy. The dyno at Mack said it was 485hp to the ground with a 15 over and 3-70 rears turning 2450 rpms. The feller who owns it only takes it out to carry to truck pulls sometimes now. I helped some boys put a 454 Mack into a B-61 wedge cab. We finally got the air to air on it, but they have'nt figgered out the electronic pump yet.
