We have an 8N with a loader and used it to move snow up until 2 years ago. Our tractor has a PTO mounted pump since the internal hydraulics were shot when Dad got it in the 60's. The bucket is a gravity dump bucket which works well with snow. Three things to remember: If you get a big bucket your tractor may not be able to lift it filled with snow. Second. if you do get a heavy load in the bucket, 8N's don't have power steering and they are hard to steer when loaded. Finally, 8N brakes are notoriously ineffective (a design fault) which makes them hard to steer if the front end is slipping on ice. We used our 8N to move snow around the farmyard for 30 years so experience tells us that you need a good set of chains, don't overload the tractor, and dress warm becaue it's going to take you a while to get the job done. msj
