At about 5pm on Friday we had the worst straight line winds to hit the area that I have ever seen! Trees-some 5' diameter-pushed over like tooth pics. Some of these fell right thru houses, and of course power lines. Right after the storm, our power company said 120,000 without power. As of 3:30 this afternoon they are saying 38,500 still without. Got an email from a guy who posts on here as steve jd4000, who also lives in Omaha, and he is still without power. My power was off for 5 minutes, but came back on, and stayed on! West of us, by Valley, they are saying the hail and winds destroyed multiple sections of crop. What a weekend! Greg
