Go with the Duo grips. We have a set on our loader tractor as well as a set for our main tractor, should it get icy in the fall. They work so much better than the other styles, as you are always on chain. They are pains in the butt to get on, but well worth it, as you have found out. If they are on tight enough (usually requires installing them and running a bit, then retightening), they ride very well, and work great. Aaron
