Around here, the papers are full of help wanted ads. I'm sure they aren't 100k per year jobs, but a person could survive on them.
What I've found lately is that people aren't willing to move to find work. They also aren't willing to make some minor sacrifices (such as power boats, jet skis, quads, dirt bikes, etc.) We moved 1500 miles away from our families, farms, and everything we loved so that we could make a decent living for ourselves. I still miss everything about home, but I wouldn't change the way I did things even if I could go back and do it over.
I'm happy to be healthy, have a steady paycheck, actually own two vehicles free and clear to put gas and oil in, and most of all a family to love. We will make it just fine. 8)
