I don't know why diesel is more than gas now perhaps over time the demand for diesel worldwide has outpaced the demand for gas. Anyway, I believe one reason both are so high now is the dollar isn't worth as much compared to other currency as it once was. Since it isn't worth as much countries supplying us oil want more dollars for it. Perhaps it will get better with the new president. No matter who is elected the pressure is on to reduce gas prices and stop inflation. Then again perhaps it will just keep getting worse--maybe we should buy stock in oil companies. The real estate stock in my 401K has really taken a hit.
