Yesterday dad rented a tub grinder so we could shred the bales of swamp grass we had left for bedding. After that I got the 285 and 1855 both dualed up and just about ready to go.
Won't be able to haul much manure for a little bit yet though. The loader arm broke off right where it attatches to the bucket. I thought it was cast iron when I welded it the first time so I used NI-Rod, but after working on it andbending the other side back again, I figure it's gotta be cast steel.
Dad used it the 1st day after I welded it and it held up, even in the gravel pile, but the second day it broke again when he was digging in the silage bag.
This time I'll probably use some 6011 with either 7014 or 7018 over the top. Hopefully it'll hold the second time. Atleast long enough to haul out a few loads.
