Hello Chuck Naill. I would check the oil level. If there is oil coming from any other source, it will be overfilled. That is what I think you have , also if it is a diesel raw fuel will do the same thing, broken or cracked injector tip.Late injection timing will have the same results. Not pump timing but injectors that pump late in the compression cycle, especially on a 2 cycle Detroit Diesel. Leaking fuel under the valve cover........ fuel lines fittings. Guido.
