The tank behind the tractor holds grain and fertilizer which is metered into tubes with high velocity air blowing through them. Tubes go back to the cultivator that has 4" wide spreaders on it to drop the seed and fertilizer. It is also set up to put down anhydrous ammonia deep banded (put in the ground deeper than the seed by about 4") with spikes. I like the cast centers as well, keeps us from having to add even more ballast. It will spin out if the ground is a little wet, but otherwise I think it's just about perfect. Too much ballast and you have compaction issues, along with too much stress on the drivetrain.
