How did you manage that....don't you live in the desert?
Worst time I ever got stuck...first time we ever farmed my great-grandfather's farm. It was wet that year and Dad was worried we weren't gonna get all the corn in. Says can you run the disk after dark? I said yeah, I can run all night. He told me to start along the fence and work uphill. It was all sand so we figured I'd be ok. So I started out with the 2094 Case. I got about 10 rounds in and it was wet but I wasn't haven't all that bad of a time. Well the 11th round was sinkin in pretty good so decided to cut short. Well too late. I get the tractor about 90 degrees from the way I'm disking and sink her to the rearend. Well dad wasn't around at midnight so my mom and I went out there with the planter tractor, a 970 case and no duals. tried once... and didn't budge. Went to bed and next thing I knew dad was waking me up at 5:30 and asked what happened. So I showed him...it looked worse in the daylight than it did at night....so we go back to the farm and put the duals on the 970. My granpa shows up so we go out there with the 970 and grandpa gets his 185 allis with backhoe on it. well broke two chains...ok go back to the farm get the big cable the previous guy must'ave used when he got stuck. Well hooked every thing up and dug the mud away from the 2094 a little bit...unhooked the disk....water is pumping out of the ground. Well dad moved me about 2 feet... before digging the 970 in a little. Ok get another bite on the chain....out she comes! Gosh was I happy after that. Shot the morning though.
