Two thoughts to add to this. (1) I have a hydraulic cylinder that I use in place of top link. When I need the flex, I just "float" the hydraulic cylinder. (2) I built my own "Red Headed Brush Pig" several years ago. I had purchased a lighter 6ft. unit and just about demolished it the first use or so. When I built my own unit, I used the gear box from the lighter, demolished unit. Everybody thought I was wrong to use such a lightweight gearbox with a 55 HP tractor....much rather tear up a gearbox on the BrushPig than tear out the guts of my tractor. I use it in heavy stuff...if I can back over it, I'll cut it with BrushPig. In 6 years of use, replaced one gearbox!! It's heavy enough that 4610 Ford knows its back there when I pick up the unit.
