I need to know. When you guys in Michigan get your assessment change notices, check the "Classification". At a Board of Review class, they told us that a parcel has to be 50% tillable to be classified ag. That's WRONG and I can prove it. I've been in contact with Treasury and they won't even respond anymore. I contacted Farm Bureau, they're working on it. I talked to my State Representative yesterday, she said she'd had other complaints, but she didn't have the information that I have. You need 3 laws and guidelines in front of yourself all at the same time to put it together and proove that Treasury is telling local assessors to use the definition that is supposed to be used to qualify for the 18 mil "Qualified Ag Exemption",for classification instead. If yours has been changed, send me an email and I'll give you the links you need to download those laws and guidelines.
