they made 400's from 1970 till 1979. only year that was different was 1970, it had 4bolt main caps. the arguement still excists today whether they are better or worse then the 2 bolter's. I've heard enuff from multiple engine builders to use only 2 bolt blocks. we install 350 connecting rods when we rebuild them, you have to buy different pistons, to make them an even better motor.
