It is called talking. I know at 15 it was hard for me to talk to my parents about my projects. Problem was I figured out many years later I just had to many and they tuned me out because I was not focused on the same one long enough for them to know it was not just chatter. I guess I didn't really figure it out until I had a coupla 15 year olds of my own. Mom tells now that I never set and talked long enough for her to know what I was talking about. She couldn't keep up with my different rambling ideas. You may or may not have the same problems.
Have them read the posts. They can then see that you are not on a board with just a bunch of kids. To most here this is a serious hobby.
