I recently bought and installed a canister heater on my 1961 JD 4010 to use as a block heater. I bought the hearter from tsc. For the water going into the inlet i ran hose from drain on left side of block and went in fron of block to other side where i mounted the heater by the oil cooler. abd then i ran the outlet hose to the plug that is on the head just above the water pump. when i plug heater in it heats really good only problem is hot water is traveling through the copeer line that goes from the water pump to the water maifold where thermistats are. Is this ok and is water still going back to the block and head or should i put the outlet hose in the plug in the rear of the head where the temp. gauge is currewntly and move temp guage to front plug. i have no pugs to water jackets in the side of head. thanks
