One time in the fall of the year at cornpickin time in a little town on down the way here, they'z bringin it in with trucks and tractors to a mill by the name of "Murphy's Mill". And they had an ol' herty-gerty hoist that they'd pull the wagon wheels over and lift it up to dump it down in that big ol' hole in the floor. They had a mill race and a paddle wheel goin that shelled the corn. This ol' boy that told the story was workin there at the time and in between loads, he went out back to take a break and take out that red bandaney and mop his brow. He said he looked over there at the crick and a feller had hooked a big fish. It was up the crick and then down and up and down. Finally, he said it got back in the millrace and run the paddle wheel backwards and put three bushel of corn back on the cob. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT?
