I don't remember a special or most memorable gift. The one thing I really loved was an old bachelor uncle came to our house every year. He was a good cook so it became a contest between him and mama to see who did what.
While he was cooking he always told tall tales and jokes. I did'nt mind helping him at all.
All the kids and grandkids had a pretty good Christmas this year, and I enjoyed watching them.
About 2 oclock this afternoon a young couple brought over thier 2 yrs old boy. I had got him a cowboy hat. He put it on and would'nt take it off.
Me and him always play or pick at each other so today I got out my 1967 R190 International fire truck, and me and him went riding.
After we got took off from the driveway I noticed all the grown-ups had run and jumped on.
It's funny how something that simple could be so much fun for everybody. We all had a heck of a ride in the firetruck, and my little friend was on a real fire call in his mind, he was fun to watch.
This bunch had been stiff all day, but when we got back they was all cuttin up.
You're right about the kids and grandkids. I think my most happy time is watching the kids and trying to think what must be running through thier minds while we play.
