As soon as the three point hitch patent ran out Deere and most other tractor manufactures equipped their machines with a true three point hitch. The Dubuque model 40 released in 1952 had a true three point hitch.Plus a real drawbar, a high volume hydraulic pump and optional remote hydraulic connection. Try finding those latter two on a Ford? By 1957 the 420/430 and diesel 435 had not only a real three point hitch.Plus a true drawbar, a high volume hydraulic pump and optional remote hydraulic connection. Optional power steering, 5 speed transmission and live pto. Any old Waterloo B,A or G can be retrofitted with a true three point hitch upper link. By 1952/1953 the 50,60,70 had live hydraulics, remote hydraulic couplers, the two lower links of the three point hitch, live pto and in 1954 power steering.Again a true three point hitch 3rd link is a simple "bolt on" matter. The 1957 and later 520/530,620/630 & 720/730(optional diesel) not only had the live hydraulics, a true 3 point hitch and rear hydraulic remotes. They could all have live pto and power steering. The Ford rapidly lost it's market share after 1952.
