The biggest trailer I've built for a Super Duty type truck was 20000 lbs. GVW, on tandem singles, and vacuum over hydraulic disc brakes. You can get tandem duals, or go to the triaxle type. Electric brakes would be the least expensive, but I always preferred the vacuum setup with disc or drums. Depending on the configuration of the axles, deck height can be from 28" to 34". I've been toying with the idea of making a detatchable gooseneck lowboy for a 1 ton truck. The problem would be that the trailer axles would be too far back with respect to the load, requiring a tag axle on the truck to carry more weight. It sure would get the deck height down low though. Hope this helps. Bill
