You can rent by the day, week, or month. Renting would not be the way to go. Snow is too unpredictable. To consistantly make $$ plowing snow, you have to be available 24/7 for the whole season. Renting equipment for that period of time only makes sense if you have guaranteed contracts and get paid snow or no snow. You won't make much money gambling on 1 or 2 "Big" snows, becasue they may or may not happen. Rental equipment might not be available when you need it.
