So I am asking if this smells like a scam. Looked at an Arctic Cat 400 on ebay in Michigan last night. Represented as a 500, looked to be a 400, 2006 year, with front plow. $2800 was the asking price for it, which is way cheap. Thought it was 300 miles away, so my brother emailed telling them we would come look and possibly buy it if it was good, as it was darn cheap.
Email back today from the guy, He MOVED to the United Kingdom, the ATV is in the UK in a crate in the harbor, still says it is an 500 cc. He says it was used in MI before he moved, wants to sell it here to avoid title changes, registration and pollution stuff in the UK. Says to pay through Pay Pal, when he gets the money he will begin the transfer shipping process, which shipping is included in the 2800!! Sounds too good to be true, Im leery of buying something in a crate, which I can"t see. He could stick me with a piece of junk. Thoughts??
