About 10 years ago I had a Farmall C with a Woods L306 mower under it. There's about 3/4 acre of land down by the river that a bunch of us cleared and turned into a spot to fish and have picnics. One Saturday afternoon I was mowing it. The wind came up, but it didn't look like rain so I kept mowing. I was mowing along, looking at the wind blowing the trees, not really paying attention when out of nowhere a 14" diameter Boxelder trunk came crashing down across the gas tank. Another 18" back and I would have had 2 broken legs. Another 3 feet back and I would have been dead. Seeing as how the battery of a C is partially under the back of the gas tank, I will never understand why it didn't blow up.
