big thanks to ya. pulled the distributor cap off and grabbed the rotor. didnt turn at all. pulled the distrib out, took it all apart. mechanical advance was stuck tight. got er all cleaned and lubed up, dropper er in, set the timing....27 1/2 degrees at 1750 rpm. she runs like a doll. temp is down to 130 at idle, runs 150 half throttle digging with the back hoe. exhaust temp is waaayyy down now too. guy i bought it from said it always ran hot, engine labored on the two hyd pumps. now she runs like a different tractor, she will take off from a dead stop in road gear like nothing!!!
