I have a MF TO-35 with the Standard Motors 4-cylinder diesel - Noted for being a hard starter. I have glow plugs, but they don't work. She starts every time with a little snort of ether in the air intake - if it's real cold, I standby to squirt in extra snorts to keep her running while she warms up. I understand that John Deere actually recommends this for starting their diesels (that's what my Dad told me). Tim
