I recently bought a 1943 9N. When I start it
up the oil pressure gage reads 20 psi. After
about 20 minutes of operating the pressure is
down to 10 psi, and it will eventually fall to
5 psi. I have not verified that the pressure gage
is accurate, or that the line is clean. What is
the normal operating range for this tractor? Is
the low oil pressure a symptom of something? I am
damaging the engine by running it with the low
pressure?
