I had a leak coming out of the break cover so I tracked it down to the flanged plate going into the rear housing. Seeing that there is two threaded jack holes in the flange I figured there was a bad shaft seal-wrong! As I tightened the jack bolts I thought the fit was pretty tight but it finally popped loose. What happened is the flanged housing I was cranking on is split for the bull gear to run through and I broke the houing where a pilot bushing seats. Got another bushing on order although I don't feel any slop in the one still there. Am gonna try welding it up. It's a pretty clean break for cast iron. Can I get to the bull gear off by pulling the seat deck plate? Took the bolts out and started lifting but it seems to be not coming apart by the shifter. I can see the shift rods when I lift the cover up. Leak was O-ring on hsg. O.D.
