Well, the worst thing about a commute on a tractor, other than being exposed to all kinds of weather, is that that 7 miles will take you quite a while. 45 Minutes would be my off the top estimate. Tractors are fairly fuel efficient on a per hour basis, but you're talking quite a bit of road time. Aslo to consider is that road driving takes a toll on tractor tires, and they're not cheap. Would you consider a 10 speed bike? We got a neighbor here who commutes at least that far on his bike. I don't know if he has a car or license, or if he's just saving $. He works on a dairy farm. After a day like his, I don't know if I'd have the legs to commute, AH, the splendor of youth!
