I live in College Station TX and work and go to school. Texas A&M University is here. I am from the Rio Grande valley of TX (as far south and closest to the coast, there are no mountains though?.) Last weekend I traveled down there to see family and spotted the new CaseIH Module Express picker at the local dealers lot. Well as an official tractor nut I had my camera with me, checked it out, its a great concept of a machine. Today while driving out to see my JD B I spotted the John Deere 7760 round module building cotton picker at A&Ms extension farm. Well as a true JD nut I stopped in and started up conversation with the JD guys and before I knew it I was cleaning out the picking heads with them and climbing all over it. I dont like the idea of cotton being spun around on rubber belts and being wrapped in plastic but its still a neat machine. I have more pictures of both if yall ask for them. Both were in transport mode. I actually followed them with the JD 20 miles to the next "test" site. It will be there until wednesday and then they ship it to California from here. Its one of only 16 working machines. The first two are now in storage at the factory. I hope you enjoy this half as much as I have. Seeing two brand new inventions in the farming industry in one week was a cool thing. PS Thanks onefarmer for the great website on how to post pictures.
