I have a friend that got a FT 70 4 wd. He had a problem with it the first week. Lost some engine oil. Dealer came out and got it, split the tractor and found the rear seal was cut. Put a new seal in and back to the farm. That was 3 years ago and haven't heard of anymore problems with it.
Most of the early problems came when the change over occured at the new plant in Tarboro. They were moving parts and machinery from the old plant and things were hectic for a month or so. A few tractor got sent out with the wrong stabilizers on the lift arms. Just small things but didn't make them look to good for a short while. They had an employee that was mad for some reason or another. He would take a pair of channeloc's and crimp each fuel tank neck right where the fuel cap fastened. All those tractors leaked fuel. He was caught/fired and all those tractors were fixed. Guy I work with had one of those and they tried 3 fuel caps and they all leaked. The dealer took care of it once they found what caused it.
I've broken several parts on mine. My fault each time. If my dealer didn't have it in stock he'd take a new part off a tractor in the yard and then replace it. So I've never had to wait for a part. Part prices aren't bad either. I bought a cat 2 top link for $47. I bent mine and was my fault.
