The tractor you are looking at is an L175, made between 1972 and 1978. It is NOT a grey market machine as suggested in other posts. It is 17 hp, not 20, and is an excellent small tractor. It has live hydraulics, live, 2 speed PTO, and an excellent 2 cyl. diesel engine.
Parts are as available as any other machine, but they are a bit pricey. Good news is you probably won't need many parts, as these machines seem to last forever and don't tear up. EXCELLENT fuel economy as well. 5 gal will last you all day!

If you are looking at Japanese (or any other foreign) tractors, be sure they are not grey market. The best way to tell is to write down the serial # and model # and call a dealer. Grey market parts are not cross-referenced into US parts by the manufacturers, and guesswork begins if you do need something.

If it cranks & runs well, has all of its parts intact, and is reasonably proced, I would not hesitate to buy it for your use. Here in N. Ga., the yuppies have the price driven up to around $3000 to $4500.

BTW, you do know that John Deere's smaller tractors are all made in Japan by Yanmar, and New Holland's smaller tractors are all made by Sibuhara in Japan as well. I think Kubotas are superior machines to both of these, even if they are not painted Greene and priced $2000 higher.

Hope this helps and good luck!
Tommy D.
