Worked fine on my MF-135 to drive the pump off the pulley. There was a boss and four bolt holes for the purpose on the front of the pulley. Far handier than a PTO driven pump for use, a little more pain to install, but that way I didn't have to take the loader off for mowing. I mounted a hex bore pulley bushing on the pulley, then ran a hex shaft to a flexible coupling at the pump. Most hydraulic pumps aren't rated for much side thrust so need the flexible coupling to protect shaft and seals. My dad drove a welding generator off the crankshaft nut of a model B Ford engine once, but he borrowed another welder and locked the nut with a weld bead. Gerald J.
