My inlaw's parents and grand parents had large tobacco farms in georgia and north florida ( somewhere near jacksonville ).. I've seen pictures of cracker style homes.. and the ones with porche's all the way around as you speak of. While florida may have urbanized up fast.. it was as southern as any other southern states.. depending on the time frame.. etc.. Soundguy
