Pete, read your post and you stated bad bearing. Have you verified that you have a bad bearing journal on the crankshaft? If you have a bad journal then you will need to split the tractor.Otherwise, do an inframe repair. This splitting is best done on a concrete floor and you will need to support both halves. Block the back half securely under the transmission at the height as it exist prior to dismantle. Loosen all the bolts at the bell housing and other connecting items such as tubing and wiring. With the front half supported, preferrably from overhead, grasp the front tires alternately and try to rotate them forward and the tractor should open, coming off the locator pins in the bellhousing, and you should be able to roll the front half forward. Do NOT disturb the position of the rear half, this will help greatly in reassembling the tractor. You will have to have a pilot shaft or a clutch aligning tool to align the clutch plate prior to re assembly. Get two long bolts the size of the ones that came out of the bellhousing and cut the head off them to use as alignment pins to guide the front half back onto the rear half. Good luck and post your results or questions.
