uhmm no... to coat (metal, esp. iron or steel) with zinc It doesnt matter if its electroplated, hot dipped, painted on, or zinc coming out of your but and falling on steel. =P electroplated zinc might be better if its thicknesses were equivilant to hot dipped. That is the reason they use electroplated, so they can use as little zinc as they can and call it galvanized. It's a flippin joke and is enough to make people like me insane because so many people buy the crap and wonder why it rusts. But what are you to do when its the only thing readily available anymore. This country and world is turning to crap!! In 50 years people will have to go to a museum to see a grease zerk. There will be exhibits on what used to make equipment reliable before the disposable society revolution!! ARGH Technology can make the world a better place, but it can just as easy screw us over. Sorry, had to vent =)
