Anybody have any experience or opinion with this ins. co.? My country company ins. of almost forty years gave me a ball park figure + or - a few bucks on full coverage for my sixteen year old daughter, $1230 a year. It sounded high but probably right for a sixteen year old so I told her she could have it and told the insurance co. to make that ball park figure in to the real thing. Now it's about $2020/yr. with no explanation that I can under stand.
So I Went shopping, apples to apples comparison, one of the most popular independant agents in town is about $750 less on the four cars, but a couple hundred more for my house. ($400) on the new car less.
The Farmer's ins. is the stuff that sounds too good to be true, over $900 less on the four cars with more coverage. The daughter's new car is $680/yr, the home owner's stayed about the same with more coverage except it's about $250 higher because we got robbed last summer, then, knock 10% off if paid per month with automatic withdrawl from bank acc.
My ninteen year old son's ins would drop about $300 in both cases, country co.said it would'nt untill he was twenty one.
I've had the last tickit in this house in 1975 and my daughter gets the good student discount. If this Farmer's ins. is on the level then I'd say Country Co. has been screwing me.
Any one have any experience with that company, Jim
