Would you be so kind as to advise what the viscosity (SSU) rating is of I.H. Hytran fluid (oil) is. I've located and installed a creeper gear box on my l979 /cub cadet lawn tractor, model 1200. In my manual it shows to use Hytran or 30Wt oil in the transmission. I assumed this would be the same for the creeper gear. However, after running only 10 or 15 minutes in cool weather using 30wt. non detergent Quaker State motor oil creeper gear box is much warmer than I think it should be. Per Milan Dilworth's reply to Pat Lewis on Jan. 24, l999 Hytran oil is 10 wt. The creeper gear box only requires about 6 to 8 ounces of oil and at our hydraulic service co, I have several kinds of hydraulic oils on hand. Thank you.
