Any possibility of finding a disc-breaker plow in your area? If you haven"t seen one, they look like a regular breaking plow, but have big (24" or bigger" round, thick disc blades instead of moldboards. They work great in "new ground" that has roots, stumps, rocks, etc, as the disc plows tend to ride out of ground rather than hanging-up and breaking off. A 3 disc bottom breaker generally breaks less width than a 3 bottom conventional plow, thus pulling easier as well. We had a John Deere 3 bottom when I was young, pulled it with an "M" Farmall - -plenty of power but way under weight for it. Best Wishes and BE CAREFUL in the roots!!
