OK. I read what everyone else had to say and there is a lot of the scam stuff that most people just don't understand. I do website design so when I get one of the phishing emails, I instantly recognize it and sometimes I will play around with them by giving them bogus info. But to my point, neither ebay nor paypal are behind the scams! It is not hard to make a web page look like either paypal or ebay. The scammer, usually from Nigeria, send out emails phishing then wait for some rube to go to their website and enter all their personal information and then JACKPOT! So don't just instantly blame ebay or paypal. I had my own business website and it was a real challenge to keep scammers at bay! The best way to keep from getting scammed is be aware. There are plenty of places on the internet to educate yourself! That's my rant for the day!
