I heard that they were bad oil consumers. My old 69 ate oil like gasoline.(almost) I was 16 then I have good memories but I dont think that was because of the engine. I think that the fouled up plugs helped me grow up by slowing me down back then. It was good enough for me back then hooked up to a power glide. I would likely buy it if I had a vehicle to put it in. I am biased though
