i learned my lesson the hard way was welding on a firetruck just above the battery that I had just removed the metal cover from. Didn't think it hurt since it not being changed. there was some hydrogen waiting for just the right time and spark and it blew the side right out of the battery. since I well above it I was OK but I could have been closer and on the side that it blew. Never did that agian always removed batteries when welding in same area. Walt
