That ain't to bad for a smog motor . Just don't do like i did on one 460 i built used the old 72 CC heads and the old pistons from back in 69 the heads were off a 70 429 SCJ and i could not figure why i was having trouble cranking it over even with a 11000 RPM starter till we took a comp. test . I just grabed my old hold in gauge and got up on a five gallon bucket and stright armed the gauge in the hole and hit the remote and on the first hit she blew me off the bucket and the gauge read 275 , Nah that can't be wright so i tryed again and got blew off the bucket about that time a buddy walked into the shop and this boy is strong and i said hey Ron hold this gauge in the hole while i crank it over so he stuffs it in the hole and stright arms it and i hit the botton and BAM it shoves him off PLUS it put the rubber tip up over the nut on the gauge and the gauge is pegged at 300 Nah this can not be wright so i get my good screw in gauge out and we try agin now this gauge goes to 350 On the first hit it blows the O/RING out and pegs the gauge . Now this is a NO B/S story and there were several people there at the that time . I figured that she had good comp.

Well, he decided to go get Mom out of the house and have her drive the tractor while he walked behind the plow. You got to understand that while my Mom is a hard worker who will always help whenever she can... she had never operated farm machinery before that day. Dad got her out there, explained how the clutch was the same as in our o ... [Read Article]
