OT- GM door seals

Been raining here in the Northwest and I went out to move the 85 Chevy pickup today and there's a puddle on the passenger floorboard. Same thing (though not as bad) on the 91 Suburban, little puddle on the passenger side floorboard carpet. Why is that? Is it the door seal that needs to be replaced? And why is it just the passenger side only? Speak so that I may be enriched.... Thanks. Grub
