I am going to put my big tow in my mouth, maybe. At the top of your diagram the coil in the switch is a current limiter. That way you don't over heat the glow plugs. You may have a shorted out plug or wire harness.You need to "ring" out the circut with an Ohm meter. My mom had a diesel VW and had to do a little work on it years ago with something like you have. I maybe all wet but that is my guess. Jeffcat
