I learned to drive on them nearly 50 years ago, and have driven them, off and on, since then. Currently I own a soft-top '95 Wrangler YJ that's my fair-weather toy. This one has the carpet stripped out, bedliner sprayed on, 31" tires and a 2" lift for a real old-fashioned utility Jeep configuration. Reliability has never been an issue....this one has 105K miles on the original 4-cyl. motor. Noisy as heck, and rides about like my 8N, but it's sure fun and the grandsons love it too. I'm sure a more civilized version would be equally reliable, tho' perhaps not quite as much pure fun.
