This tractor is around 96 hp. It will do a lot. It is a pretty large tractor. Also if you have never had a narrow front be careful till you are use to it. I worked for a man that had a 4020 gas and you are correct when you say it uses alot of fuel. You can pull a 12-15 ft bush hog. We use to pull a 2 row silage chopper. So it maybe relly more than you need. I will say they are one of the best JD's ever made. I love em. Good luck Tim
