First make sure the valve on the tank is good(letting enough get through).Second there should be a safety valve between the tank and regulator.Sometimes those go bad.If those dont solve the problem you need to get a regulator rebuild kit and rebuild it.Sometimes the little round screen looking piece will get a lot of dirt built up in it and that screws around with the reg.Also make sure the screws are all good and tight.Went through all of the above once and still had that problem,turned out to be crude in the screen.I dont rreally know what it is there for.
